Mailbox is starting to see Returns!!

Successful returns so far have been from Mr. Rob Manfred MLB Commissioner with an autographed official major league baseball and autographed business card. Also had success from Mr. Ben Oglivie with a 1984 & 1986 Topps baseball cards both autographed. The Cincinnati Reds mascot Mr. Red signed and returned my mascot card from 2016 Topps. Dan Plesac former Milwaukee Brewer and current MLB Network broadcaster signed and returned my baseball card.
Fails so far are the Atlanta Braves Mascot with a return to sender. After doing some research I've learned that the Braves do not accept mail at Spring Training. Hopefully I can get a success during the regular season from him.
And that's how February 2017 went. Hoping for a higher success rate in March!!

Boring Week in Mailbox!!

Last week brought zero TTM returns; hoping for some returns this week as Spring Training is in full swing now! Sent an additional 14 cards/letters out last week for signatures. Also hoping to see some returns from the MN Twins cards i sent last spring; I'm assuming they are long gone but one can hope :)
Since Monday is presidents day there will be no mail delivery which will hopefully bring a nice mail day on Tuesday for me!!
Here's to hoping...

First time Blogger here! Long time Sports Card Collector!

New to the world of blogging.  I have created this blog in hopes of expanding my online resources for baseball card collecting; meeting other fellow collectors and sharing my experiences in collecting.  I send a lot of Thru The Mail (TTM) Autograph requests and hope to share my experiences with others in success and failure rates on those.  My first success for 2017 was a couple weeks ago with Kurt Suzuki sending an autographed 2014 Topps and personalized letter for my niece (probably his biggest fan).  I received the request back in 6 days!! He is a great guy and we will sure miss him playing in Minnesota! I currently have 10 cards sent mostly to Spring Training last week I am hoping to receive all of them back; I have another 12 ready to go out in tomorrow's mail mostly to Spring Training as well.  After dropping these in the mail I won't be sending any additional cards to Spring Training this year.  I haven't had much of a success rate from sending to Spring Training last year; I am not sure if I had bad timing or if it was just the players I sent to.  It was all Minnesota Twins players and I only received back a signed TC Bear card from our Mascot.  All other player requests have not been returned yet from last year.  I have avoided mailing any Minnesota Twins cards for requests this year; as the return rate was zero last year.  Which is disappointing as they are my local team that I watch and cheer for all summer long.  I am a huge fan of baseball in general and love the sport! I have favorite players all around the league and enjoy watching all teams.
As of today Opening Day 2017 is only 50 days away!!
